Angelica Vogiatzoglou, IB DP (Class of 2021) Represents Greece at the Global-In Fellowship Programme in Berlin

From among more than 600 international applicants, CGS student Angelica Vogiatzoglou, was selected to represent Greece in the prestigious Global-In Fellowship which takes place in Berlin every summer.

The application process is extremely competitive and includes an interview and an essay on how to address a global challenge – Angelica decided to write about how to tackle corruption by implementing blockchain technology winning her a place in the programme.

The intense 3-week summer programme includes a series of workshops and simulations encouraging participants to acquire new knowledge, skills and insights in diplomacy, entrepreneurship, innovation and global understanding and cooperation. During the first week, Angelica attended workshops on Law, Social Media, Economics and Political Systems, as well as training sessions on Soft Skills and Rhetoric and Entrepreneurship. The following week was dedicated to a UN simulation where as a country representative, where Angelica exercised her rhetorical, debate and negotiation skills about today’s most pressing challenges. The programme ended with a “Crisis Simulation” where participants had to form new nation states and create a constitution, develop national identity and establish political structures.

The entire CGS community is deeply proud of Angelica’s accomplishment of becoming part of this dynamic network of young diplomats and future leaders.
