The Global Issues Network (GIN) club at CGS participated at the annual GIN Euro conference in Luxembourg on 27-30 March, 2019.
During the conference, the club at our school delivered a presentation entitled Special with Potential. The presentation dealt with a sensitive social issue regarding people with special needs. In particular, our students described various types of physical and mental disabilities, highlighted the difficulties people with disabilities face in their daily lives, presented examples of people who have managed to overcome the stigma of disability and excel in their field. Finally, they proposed solutions to defend the rights of people with disabilities and their smooth integration into society.
At the end of the conference, our students pledged to take part in a series of actions to help improve the living conditions of people with disabilities in our country and combat discrimination against them.
