The 3rd CGS Kids Triathlon held in aid of the Together for Children Association

The CGS Kids Triathlon was successfully held on Saturday 18th May with more than 250 children participating.

For the third consecutive year, the CGS Sports Club, true to the team spirit of sport and acutely aware of its pedagogical importance, organized a specially designed triathlon competition for children aged 6 to 13 at the CGS facilities.

Christos Geitonas – Managing Director of CGS, said in his statement:

‘We are extremely happy today that more than 250 children are participating in the CGS Kids Triathlon, the kids’ triathlon race taking place at CGS for the 3rd consecutive year. It is an excellent opportunity for children to experience the triathlon- a sport combining swimming, cycling and running over distances suited to their age.’

The young triathletes participated in the sporting event which was generously sponsored by Deloitte Greece.

‘It is our pleasure to sponsor this event, because we believe in children being trained and having their eyes opened to the joy of sport. The race is in the realm of what we believe and in our Corporate Social Responsibility plans’ stated Dimitris Koutsopoulos – Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Greece – to SKAI.

In order to participate, the young triathletes were charged a nominal fee and all the proceeds of the event were donated to the Together for Children association.

Eleni Kafetzopoulou, member of the Together for Children association, said:

‘On behalf of the Together for Children association, we would like to thank CGS, the teachers, the parents and all the children who gave their best during today’s sporting event.’

At the end of the event, all the participants received commemorative gifts.
