Our aim is not only for our students to develop critical thinking\u00a0 skills in communication and research in English, but to gain an insight into the cultural heritage, customs and perspectives of people from English-speaking communities. The teaching of the language takes place according to the principles of the MYP, according to which students use the language as a tool of inquiry and development of communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>English language skills developed in the PYP are further developed in the MYP years. More specifically, the learning objectives of the final stages of the PYP programme are in alignment with the objectives of the first phases of the MYP language acquisition programme.<\/p>\n<p>Students are placed in phases according to their receptive and productive skills in oral and written communication.
