International Model UN conference.\u00a0 This committee is one of the biggest committees of THIMUN 2020 and the\u00a0one addressing the main theme of this year’s conference. Debates on “political inclusion of marginalised groups”\u00a0and “the role of civil society in advancing democracy” will be entertained and I will have the opportunity to become an expert on the question of “encouraging youth to participate in local governance and decision making.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Our <\/em>IB Diploma Year 2 student\u00a0Vassilis Michalis\u00a0\u00a0was selected to serve in the Conference Secretariat (THIMUN) as the President of the General Assembly. Vassilis is the first Greek to be selected for the position. He will be responsible for all 6 committees of the General Assembly, the largest body of the conference, consisting of approximately 1500 people in total.
