The results and winners are announced at the end of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The jury evaluating the candidates consists of CGS ARTS teachers, while in the final stage of the competition, renowned artists of the field are invited to contribute as external collaborators.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CATEGORIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CGS ARTS CONTEST concerns the following categories:<\/p>\n<p>\u0391. Music<br \/>\nB. Theatre<br \/>\nC. Visual Arts \/ Comics D. Short Film \/ Stop motion<br \/>\nD. Photography F. Dance<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0391<\/strong><strong>. MUSIC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must perform two pieces (or songs) of different characters. They are not allowed to perform with sheet music. There are a total of three winners from the Music section. The judging for the three winners is based on the average score given by the jury members. Applicants will compete as soloists or with the participation of their teacher-trainer, or a total of 2 other artists in only one of the following disciplines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phonetics<br \/>\nPiano<br \/>\nString instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, harp)<\/li>\n<li>Pneumatic (of wood and brass)<\/li>\n<li>Original musical composition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><u>\u00a0Evaluation Criteria:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Technical level<br \/>\nDifficulty level of the selected programme<br \/>\nExpression<br \/>\nArtistic qualities<br \/>\nExecution from memory<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0392<\/strong><strong>. THEATRE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contestants compete on a poem of their choice, which must be memorized and presented to the jury. The contestants are then asked to improvise theatrically on a text given to them at that time (prima vista). The judging for the 3 winners is based on the average score given by the jury members.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting, poetry recitation<\/li>\n<li>Theatrical improvisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><u>Evaluation criteria:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Expressiveness<br \/>\nStage presence<br \/>\nStage Imagination<br \/>\nAbility to respond to the required stage conditions (improvisation)<br \/>\nPerformance of text<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>C. VISUAL ARTS &#8211; COMICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contestants are asked to produce an artwork according to a given theme, announced on the day of the competition. The judging for the 3 winners is based on the average score given by the jury members.<\/p>\n<p>Contest duration: up to 3 hours<\/p>\n<p>Materials\/Technical: Participants paint on white paper measuring 35\u00d750. All painting media can be used (pastels, watercolours, watercolours, crayons, tempera, charcoal, pencil, markers), as well as mixed media. Collages using ready-made materials is not allowed.<\/p>\n<p>For the comics selection the work should consist of at least 10 scenes (frames).<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Evaluation Criteria:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Understanding the subject<br \/>\nEffective use of materials and techniques<br \/>\nProject completion in the alloted time<br \/>\nCreativity\/Imagination<br \/>\nPainting ability<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>D. SHORT FILM &#8211; STOP MOTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contestants are invited to create a short film of up to one minute in length using the stop motion technique according to a given topic, announced on a specific date before the competition. The judging for the 3 winners will be based on the average score given by the jury members.<\/p>\n<p>Contest duration: up to 3 hours<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Evaluation Criteria:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Creativity<br \/>\nScript (story structure)<br \/>\nDirected by<br \/>\nTechnical<br \/>\nOriginality<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>E. PHOTOGRAPHY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contestants are asked to photograph in black and white or color using any type of camera or mobile device, with a subject and location to be determined on a specific date prior to the competition. The judging for the 3 winners is based on the average score given by the judges.<\/p>\n<p>Contest duration: up to 3 hours<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Evaluation Criteria:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Creativity<br \/>\nOriginality<br \/>\nTechnique<br \/>\nContent<br \/>\nComposition<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>F. DANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must present a choreography of a maximum duration of 3 minutes. There are a total of 3 winners from the dance section. The evaluation for the 3 winners is based on the average score given by the jury members.
