[vc_row padding_top=”0″ padding_bottom=”20″][vc_column][vc_column_text]The experience:\u00a0 84 CGS students join seven schools last weekend to debate, write and explore new knowledge in the World Scholar\u2019s Cup Athens Round.<\/p>\n

The challenge:\u00a0 \u00a0they work in small teams and consider many questions through this year\u2019s theme, \u201cAn Unlikely World\u201d\u2026 they discuss whether Greece should land a woman on the moon or if extinct animals should be brought back to life and all this implies.<\/p>\n

The highlights: \u00a0CGS students are the top scorers in 4 of 6 Challenge Subjects (Social Science, History, Science and Literature).\u00a0 CGS students in the Junior category rank in the top 10 for the Collaborative Writing, and one, Vasilis Grimanis, places first.\u00a0 CGS is represented by one team in the Senior category and places 4th in the Collaborative Writing overall and qualifies to move on to the Global Round!\u00a0 Another CGS student, Ourani Moroni, makes it to the Final Debate Round to debate the motion, \u201cGreece is running out of luck.\u201d \u2013 and wins.\u00a0 Overall, 5 Junior Teams rank among the top 20 along with 13 more to qualify for the World Scholars Cup Global Round in Hanoi, Cape Town or Athens this summer\u2026<\/p>\n

The conclusion:\u00a0 CGS students are young people we can believe in and we can proud of.<\/p>\n
