CGS proudly participated in the Deree Debate Tournament, held on 14–15 November 2025, one of the largest student debate events of the year. The tournament featured 80 teams, each consisting of two students from private schools, showcasing excellence in argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking.
Our school was represented by 13 students, who demonstrated outstanding preparation, ethos, and competitive spirit. The CGS delegation included:
Orfeas Mavros, Ariadni Moutsouri, Dimitris Hargitt, Dimitris Fragkos, Alexandros Hargitt, Dioni Kalpaka, Sevi Zafti, Lambros Fouyias, Pavlos Athanasiadis, Ioannis Gavounelis, Haris Kouroumalos,Leonidas Nikolakopoulos.
A remarkable distinction was achieved by the team of Panteliadou – Zafti, who successfully advanced to the final round of the tournament, marking an exceptional accomplishment for our school.
Additionally, student Dimitris Hargitt earned 8th place in the overall speakers’ ranking, standing out among hundreds of participants and further highlighting the strong rhetorical skills of the CGS Debate Team.
