CGS Shines at Two Prestigious MUN Conferences

The CGS Model United Nations delegation has once again demonstrated its commitment to diplomacy, excellence, and intellectual rigor through its outstanding participation in two major conferences this year.

The first conference of the academic year took place at Campion School, where CGS made a distinguished appearance with 16 delegates representing the nations of Nigeria and Ireland, alongside three accomplished student chairs: Eva Lolou, Georgios Skourletos, and Tea Vasilaki and a judge at the ICJ, Dioni Elvira Kalpaka.

The students who represented Ireland were: Alexandros Hargitt (Ambassador), Georgios Manousidis, Konstantis Nikolaou, Iris Kouloumpi, Vasilis Nikolaou, Constantinos Bartzokas, Emma Tzokas and Nikolaos Malliris whereas Nigeria was represented by Vasilis Fragkos (Ambassador), Nefeli Kouloumpi, Melina Kokolantonaki, Sofia Gatsou, Adamantia Lampadaki, Efstathios Giannis and Harry Kouroumalos. Also, Maria Santrous was a member of the Youth Assembly.

The CGS delegation’s eloquence, leadership, and diplomatic prowess were duly recognized, earning two Best Delegate Awards, presented to Harry Kouroumalos and Vasilis Fragkos, as well as an Honourable Mention awarded to Alexandros Hargitt.

Continuing their remarkable record of participation, CGS delegates next took part in the DSA MUN Conference, where they represented Madagascar and Niger . The students who took part as delegates of Niger were Nikolaos Malliris,Maria Tolia,Vasilis Fragkos (Ambassador) and Eleanna Chasapi. Faedra Tsoukia,George Skourletos (Ambassador) Stathis Giannis, Harry Kouroumalos, Yria Drazioti and George Thivaios were the representatives of Madagascar. Moreover, Stavroula Sklapani contributed meaningfully to the Youth Assembly, showcasing CGS’s dedication to nurturing articulate and globally aware students who engage with critical international issues.Also, Dioni Elvira Kalpaka served as a Judge in the ICJ.

Adding to these notable achievements, Dimitrios Hargitt and Georgios Skourletos have been selected as Student Officers for the prestigious THIMUN Conference, to be held in January 2026—an honor that reflects their exceptional capabilities and the school’s continued legacy of excellence in international debate and diplomacy.

Through their inspiring performances and unwavering dedication, the CGS MUN team continues to uphold the school’s tradition of academic excellence, global citizenship, and leadership on the international stage.
