Support is provided for CGS students by the CGS Financial Aid and Scholarship Fund in the following ways:
- Financial Aid
Financial aid is awarded to students who have already attended at least one academic year at CGS. The criteria are mainly financial, but academic performance, student conduct, and overall profile, which should be consistent with the International Baccalaureate student profile, are taken into account.
After the request is assessed, financial aid can only be granted for the academic year 2019-20, which will cover 10% to 100% of the tuition fees of the compulsory academic programme.
- Honorary Scholarships
Honorary scholarships are awarded to students who will attend A’ Gymnasium in the 2019-20 academic year and have obtained the highest marks in Years 5 and 6 of Primary School.
- Academic Scholarships
Academic scholarships are awarded to students who will attend A’ Gymnasium, A’ and B’ Lyceum, or the ΙΒ Diploma Programme (IB 1) for the academic year 2018-19. These are full or partial tuition grants for the compulsory programme. They are awarded on the basis of the marks students receive in written examinations taken by CGS students along with prospective candidates from other schools. In the event that two students tie in the written examinations, grades obtained in current and previous years, as well as the students’ conduct and profiles, and the outcomes of interviews conducted by CGS assessors will also be taken into account . The overall profile of the candidates should be consistent with the IBO profile.
