In addition to being one of the most prominent educational institutions in Greece, CGS is also a school with a strong social conscious. The main association responsible for charity work at our school is the CGS Solidarity team.
Towards the end of 2015, the CGS Solidarity team was created with the aim of co-ordinating and enriching the school’s charitable actions, while also aiming at strengthening the interpersonal relationships between members of the school community.
Activities are aimed at supporting vulnerable groups (the homeless and refugees) while maintaining an ecological character (protection of animals and the environment).
In addition, CGS Solidarity supports Schools in Action – a joint educational endeavour – aimed at the collaboration of more and more schools across Greece on issues of social awareness and solidarity.
Participation in the solidarity group is open to the whole CGS community, either through supporting actions or participation.
