Swimming: a comprehensive fitness system!
The main goal of swimming is to improve physical fitness, increase muscle strength and endurance, reduce fat, increase both the range of movement and elasticity of the limbs, while also bolstering the athletes’ concentration and self-confidence.
The CGS Swimming Academy, which goes far beyond amateur sport for both the young and old, is now the foundation of our school for the creation of a strong and competitive team with the aim of participating in inter-club swimming meets and national championships.
Through the swimming classes of the CGS SPORTS CLUB, which cover all age groups ranging from infants to adults, the opportunity to compete through special pre-team and competitive classes is now offered in cooperation with the distinguished and experienced swimming coach Giannis Milidakis.
The school’s pre–team and competitive classes is the final stage for swimmers, who train daily, wishing to participate in the official swimming meets organised by the Hellenic Swimming Federation.
All four basic types of swimming (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) are taught during the CGS Swimming Academy classes, while the number of competitive swimmers has already reached double figures in the first two months of operation.
An important aspect of the CGS Swimming Academy is the Baby & Mini Swimming programme during which children aged between 3 months and 3 years (baby swimming) and from 3 to 5 years (mini swimming), accompanied by their parents, can enjoy the state-of-the-art CGS swimming facilities while learning to swim properly in a chlorine-free (active oxygen-based) pool.
