Last Wednesday, (March 11th, 2026) we were honoured to welcome Dr. Polina Sapouna Ellis to CGS, as part of the CAS project “Cultural Bridges,” which the CGS IB/DP CAS programme carries out in collaboration with the International School of Siena. Both schools are proud members of the INSPIRE Educators network, which actively supports initiatives that foster global collaboration and intercultural learning.
Her visit took place during the third stage of the project, “My City and Its Artists,” where students have the opportunity to meet inspiring contemporary creators. An internationally acclaimed artist, Dr. Sapouna Ellis shared insights into her life and work, highlighting the power of art to foster intercultural dialogue and deepen understanding between communities.
Our CGS IB/DP students were truly inspired by her experiences, creativity, and thoughtful reflections on the role of art in connecting people and cultures. It was a memorable and enriching encounter for all.
