CGS STUDENTS AT SCADPRO DESIGN IMMERSION PROGRAM IN SAVANNAH

During the last week in June, four CGS students travelled to Savannah, Georgia to participate in the annual Design Immersion Program at SCAD.   The program brings together teams of high school students in SCAD’s innovation studio, SCADpro, to design solutions and collaborate with a global industry partner – this year’s project partner was Delta Airlines where participants were asked to consider the future of flying in creating a travel experience for Delta Airlines in the year 2029.

Taking the top award for “Best Technological Solution”, CGS students proposed the concept of “Delta Pods” a sophisticated network of transport stations that will move travellers to the airport seamlessly with an integrated high-tech security and check in system.  The judging team was comprised of Delta Airlines top executives and students had the chance to work with collaboration managers and SCAD faculty, an excellent opportunity for CGS students to develop new relationships while enhancing their profile and portfolios.

Taking advantage of their time in Atlanta prior to the project, students had the chance to visit the Coca-Cola Museum, CNN Headquarters and the Human and Civil Rights Museum where they had a wonderful time.

CGS congratulates our amazing students, Nefeli Maniati-Saxon (IB DP 1), Lampros Lanaras (IB DP1), Panos Molfessis (IB DP1) and Vasilis Grimanis (MYP 5) and we look forward to more innovative, creative ideas in the future!
