For 1st and 2nd graders

Museums around the World will trigger students’ interest in art and crafts. They will virtually visit museums such as the Museum of Natural History in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. They will have the opportunity to explore some amazing pieces of world art and learn more about famous artists and their work (David Hockney, Henri Mattisse, Vincent Van Gogh and more).

Workshop: Little Cook, Big Cook

For 1st and 2nd graders

Using their kitchen utensils and various ingredients, students and parents will unite to take part in a chocolatey challenge of measuring, adding and mixing to make the best chocolate cake together.

Participants: 20 Students

*Each registered student participates with a grown-up. A list of material and ingredients will be emailed prior to the workshop.

Workshop: Origami Wizards

For 3rd and 4th graders

Students will witness the magic of turning a piece of paper into something useful, into a toy or a pretty decoration. This is the most exciting of all Paper Crafts. No scissors. No glue. The fact that one square of paper can be turned into so many things is fascinating! We will be making: a bookmark, a box, a heart, a cootie catcher.

Participants: 30 Students

Workshop: Scavenger Hunt

For 3rd and 4th graders

In this online scavenger hunt, students will spin the wheel in each round to discover which object they will need to find. 30-second time limits will make this hunt challenging and only those students who stay within the time limit will win each round. Apart from finding things, students may be asked to carry out a simple task within a specific timeframe. This process will be repeated until we have a winner!

Participants: 20 Students

Workshop: KAHOOT- play trivia

For 5th and 6th graders

Students will have the opportunity to play trivia games on Kahoot, a game-based learning platform. They will get a chance to compete against each other, answering questions in a variety of categories: music, TV shows, movies, sports, video games and even history!

Participants: 30 Students

Workshop: Digital Storytelling

For 5th and 6th graders

To create a digital comic, students will be introduced to basic story elements, such as developing the plot, writing the dialogues and choosing the characters of their story. They will have the chance not only to apply that knowledge but also develop their resource selection, collaboration and digital skills, exploring the features of a digital storytelling tool. Students’ final collaborative digital storytelling project can be presented to friends and/or parents.

*Tools and equipment needed for each registered student:

  • Computer or Laptop (tablets are not compatible with the tool’s features)
  • Each student will receive a unique username and password before the beginning of the activity, in order to access the software’s tools and be able to save his/her work.
